DCHS Fall 2020 End of Course State Testing Schedule

Only students who are scheduled to complete EOC testing will report to school on the dates below. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Buses will run for pick up and drop off. Car riders and drivers may leave at the end of all scheduled testing.

Fall EOC Testing will count as 15% of the student's final grade in the tested course. This is determined not by the Washington County Board of Education, but by TCA 49-1-617 and State Board Rule 0520-01-03-.06(c)(2).

If a student fails the EOC tested class, the student will be required to retake the course if the final grade is below a 50. If the grade ranges from a 50 to a 69, the student will be eligible for credit recovery; however, the highest grade a student may receive when completing credit recovery is a 70.

Remote Learning Contract students should be tested in a separate location such as an auxiliary gym or annex where RLC students do not come in contact with in-person learners or enter the main building. Social distancing and PPE protocols should be followed at all times. RLC students should use restrooms that are designated for RLC students, and RLC students should eat lunch in a separate location where they do not have to enter the main building.

Students who have been placed at the alternative school or suspended may return to the high school to complete testing if approved by the building principal. These students may be tested in a separate location OR with the assigned class if approved by the building principal. The Assistant Director of Schools for Attendance, Discipline, and Pupil Placement or his designee and the School Principal or his/her designee will discuss details and let the affected student know where and when to report for testing.
